Dear Sir,

We are using Active SMS Professional for sending bulk text messages.

We are experiencing issues in that when we send ~100 messages (100 recipients in 1 email), ~40 get message delivery failed, although we have followed up with the recipients and they seem to get the SMS messages delivered the next day?

We are using Orange as our provider, is there any known issues in delays in sending bulk messages?

We are using SMTP gateway and when testing this all works fine.

When test sending to another orange number this works immediately

When testing to a single vodaphone number delivery happens immediately..

How long should it take to send a message, we are using a MC35i and it is taking approx 10 seconds per message.

Can you please help with this issue.

Please use the SMS Logging feature of ActiveSMS to allow you to trace when the messages are being sent. The log include a send timestamp and a send status.

The typical throughput rate for sending SMS messages from a GSM device is around 10 messages per minute. Receiving SMS messages is around 20 messages per minute. If you are both receiving and sending through the transport the throughput rate will reduce significantly. Please note, this is not a limitation of ActiveSMS but a limitation of the GSM network/device.
