When sending email to sms, is it possible to configure the gateway so that in the event of non delivery, or an invalid mobile number, an email is returned to the sender alerting them?

You can configure Status reports to be sent by email on your account preferences page.

However this will send a notification for every status change, e.g. including message delivered.

We have plan to add the ability to select which message status that will trigger an email report. This enhancement is due for release in the next few months (as Sept 2008).

Great. That will help us a lot.

Will the non-delivery report get sent back to the sender or to the admin account? Or will we be able to choose which?

It will do both.

It will be possible to configure report to either go back to a
1) Fixed email address of your choice
or
2) Back to the message originator's email address

The solution will also include the ability to configure the content/format of the email report.

We have enhanced the Email reports on our Email to SMS service.

You are now able to:
- filter which reports you require (e.g. Delivery reports, Non-Delivery Reports)
- modify the format of the report emails
- select to have status report delivered to the email originator

These features are accessible on the website. Login into your account and go to Preference -> Forwarding. In the section ‘Enable status reports forwarding’ select the link ‘Advanced Settings >>’.

Hi,

I've just tried this and clicking on the 'status reports forwarding' Advanced Settings link doesn't do anything. It did once (only) when I clicked on Advanced Settings for 'incoming message forwarding', but now that doesn't work either. I've tested with IE6 and Firefox 3.0.4.
