I've tried setting up eMail integration and now I have a different problem from the Console under "Transports" section. It goes between Connected and Comms Failure for SMS Transport.

This does not appear to be an email integration issue (as per your post title).

You can use ActiveSMS Test to check the ability to send SMS messages. It is useful to use ActiveSMS Test, as this will allow you to send a test message without being troubled by any email configuration issues.

It appears that you device does not appear to support the commands required by ActiveSMS. Please check that you have selected the correct Comm port.

I would suggest that you use ActiveSMS Test in your testing to eliminate any concerns regarding email issues at this stage. Once you are able to send SMS messages then you can move on and complete the email integration.

I'm using a Nokia 6233 as the device and I have been able to use the ActiveSMS Test to send a test message.

After the succes using the Test function, I then moved to attmept setting up eMail integration and that's where I'm having the the problems.

I changed from using the Nokia to another device for the modem and so far it seems ok for the time.

Based on the device you select for use, it appears / suggests that there are certain restrictions / incompatibilities – so to speak.
