Having been woken at 03:30 by the York car parking system informing me my ticket expired at 04:00 I wondered what controls there might be to prevent similar message from our application?

Clearly we wouldn't be generating messages at such times but I'm aware that delays in e-mail messaging (and perhaps in the network operator's system??) could cause these to happen. Probably there is not a lot to be done once the message has gone to the network operator but it could certainly be possible to do something about the first cause.

Thanks for any comments.

In fact what I think I'd like to be able to do is send an expiry date/time as a parameter.

Overriding the default expiry period could be a solution.

Please note however, this is not currently support by the IntelliSoftware SMS Platform

Thanks. No I thought it probably wasn't there currently. Are you considering adding it?

Would that be a 'no' then?
