Hello

Im having an issue with using ActiveSMS to interface with a WAVECOM Fastrack M1306B GSM Modem.

I was told that ActiveSMS was compatible with this device. Below is output from the GSM MODEM TEST and also an entry in the Windows Event Log

Please advise.

To solve this please try changing the baudrate to 19200.

To change the baudrate open the ActiveSMS Console and select the Transport tab. Click on the 'Configure' button for the relevant transport. On the GSM Modem settings dialogue box, click on the 'Change Settings' button.

Yup, this looks like a com port baud rate problem. Mine problem was similar when I tried to connect to wavecom M1306B via Hyperterminal. All I saw was strange reply characters when I was typing AT commands in a window. Setting the com port baud rate to 15200 solved the problem. Try to connect to modem via hyperterminal and if it works at given com port settings it should also work with ActiveSms
